You’ll have three hosting plans from which to choose with Vertex Hosting. All three feature daily backups, a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a 100% price protection guarantee. For this review, we’re going to take a look at their Shared Hosting plan which is currently priced at $7.95 per month.

4 gigs of disk space and 40 gigs of data transfer are provided with this account. Only 400 email accounts are offered, but this should be more than enough for most personal sites or small business websites. You can edit your MX entries, utilize a mailing list, and set up custom mail filtering by account. While they don’t mention how many FTP accounts are provided, you’ll have advanced features such as the ability to kill an FTP session, anonymous FTP capabilities and more.

The FlashCyte Web-Builder Studio™ is included for building your site without any HTML knowledge. Fantastico is also included, and CPanel is the control panel for this account. If you decide to go with a reseller account, you’ll also get WebHostManager. Several shopping carts and other utilities are provided and a free shared SSL certificate is available. Installation for certificates is free, but there is no mention of a dedicated IP address, so if you want your own certificate, you may need to add this on to your account.

Three different website statistic programs are provided, and you’ll have the ability to password protect your directories, Secure APOP e-mail on demand and manage GPG keys. Vertex will assist you in transfering your website from another hosting company, which is always nice to see. Several different control panels are supported with this option, so most customers should be able to take advantage of this features.
