Sterling Networks Expands Data Center

Sterling Networks, a provider of colocation and data services, announced today that they have expanded their Phoenix data center by a whopping 45,000 square feet.

“This expansion allows us to continue to offer the highest quality, most secure data center services at the most reasonable costs. We are the preferred solution for enterprise companies looking to move data centers, maintain the highest levels of service and uptime, and save money,” said Anthony Wanger, Managing Director of Sterling Network Services.

The company stated that their new expansion is: “protected by Emerson Network Power, using their Liebert technologies equipment, including the Liebert DS precision cooling system, the Liebert 610 UPS systems and power distribution equipment.”

FirstGov Offers New Hosting Capabilities

Thanks to task order awarded by the GSA, FirstGov will begin offering new hosting services for presidential and other government oriented sites.

“FirstGov Web Solutions will allow other agencies to have quick access to a wide range of web services supporting the delivery of information and services to citizens via this Task Order,” said M.J. Pizzella, Associate Administrator for OCSC, which administers FirstGov.gov.

The contract was awarded to Raytheon Information Solutions for a period of one year, renewable up to four. The projected budget is $73 million, which will provide services for about 25 e-gov sites.

AIT Celebrates 10 Years in Business

AIT, a provider of hosting services, announced that they have hit ten years in business. In order to celebrate this occasion, the company launched a million-dollar dealership deal. This deal will assist the community in Pittsburgh, where AIT is located.

“The dealership program extends beyond the traditional AIT product line,” says AIT chief executive officer Clarence Briggs, “creating opportunities by bringing together the IT services and infrastructure that organizations and businesses need.”

“This is a best-case scenario for customers – the industrial-grade infrastructure and resources of a global service provider and local people with a local address and local phone number for support,” says Ken Howard, one of the principals of the Chicago dealership.

BlueModus Donates Web Space

BlueModus, a hosting company, announced today that they will begin offering Catholic Charities of Denver free hosting to assist the charity in expanding their technological presence.

“What we really needed was the ability to update the information on our programs and services. We couldn’t do this without paying a Web designer for every change,” says Jim Ruybal the president of Catholic Charities of Denver. “BlueModus has saved us tens of thousands of dollars and that can help a lot of families.”

BlueModus offered to build a special CMS for the group and will provide free hosting for an extended period of time.
