According to Secunia, a leading security firm, the Easy File Sharing Web Server has two vulnerabilities that have been classified as “moderately critical.†The first vulnerability appears to be a format string error that can be exploited with a specific request to crash the server.
The second vulnerability can be found in the input section of their upload utility, which can easily be compromised while uploading a file.
According to Secunia, the best way to avoid these issues is to set-up a firewall with URL filtering capabilities, or filter malicious sequences using a proxy.
